Go Al!!

My Sister In Law, Allison Bambrick, will be appearing on television tonight, as a contestant on 'Temptation: The New Sale of the Century'. Due to contractual reasons she hasn't told us the result of the show. Here's hoping she picks up some nice prizes and doesn't look like a big silly dork or anything.

Maybe it's time for secretGeek to face off against the big one - Eddie.
If you need a phone-a-friend ring me - I can Google like lightnin'.
'sg' on Tue, 11 Oct 2005 04:54:33 GMT, sez: Yep -- Allison also went on the Einstein Factor and she has a coffee mug to prove it.
My brother John (and Al's husband) is trying to get on millionaire -- i think he'd do great. but it's a tricky show -- one weird question can ruin it for you.
'marty' on Wed, 12 Oct 2005 23:36:29 GMT, sez: Yeah. I watch Millionaire, and I see six-seven questions in a row which are easy (with the guy in the seat usually umming and ah-ing -- either the stress of being under the lights throws you out entirely, or they bring in a batch of morons for light relief).
Then the dreaded sports question "Who won the melbourne cup in 1887?" "What team had the most consecutive goals in AFL during 1952?" ...
'lb' on Thu, 13 Oct 2005 00:38:46 GMT, sez: cheers marty -- true.
the melbourne cup question is googleable though -- so you'd need to phone a friend for that, if you still had the lifeline.

that AFL one is just unknowable. Only the people who were in the team at the time would know it, i reckon. Oh and Frank Arrigo. He'd know. And Eddie, maybe.
