Just one thing, why would you start with $0 instead of $1? If this is to be used by non-techie people you have to do the extra explanation that $0 is first, $1 is second, and so on.

Nice! I really like the design of the website. It's clear, it stands out (maybe Arcsin could design the UI of NimbleText as well?). And the per-character hover effect on the title is really cool!

Some small points: I would add a tooltip to the download-icon on the right, and I would use the English URL to the Arcsin website. More important: the image on the homepage should really have a link to the screenshot page.

Do you actually have a Mac version planned?

@Artur -- yep, the zero-based indexing is definitely a geek thing. In fact, I've realized that my earlier idea of marketing to non-geeks is just a non-starter. I'm a geek. I only understand geeks.

Many times I've shown the original WSCG to non-geeks, and they've never really gotten it. Even when it would benefit them greatly. Maybe I need to be willing to add the more hardcore geek features I've always wanted.

I just updated the website.
The solution for Mac users is to use the live version of the site.

@David H -- Yeh, the bright pink is a deliberate way to embarass people into upgrading. I was thinking of adding a $5 license that adds no features, but turns all the pink buttons into more manly colours. With lightsaber sound effects.

I have a feature request:

When I have NimbleText non-maximized, and I resize and reposition its window, then the next time I run it, it forgets the previous size and position. It also seems to always start maximized even if I didn't close it maximized. (I don't want it maximized because then I can't see my stunningly beautiful desktop backgrounds.)

There are some good if not dated (2005) binaries for windows that I use for simple data file tweaks. (Search for GNUAwk or GAWK)

It would be nice if NimbleText was partially script compatible with GAWK.

At a glance the only incompatibility I see is that AWK users $0 to reference the entire line and $1 to reference the first element.
