Push a Bamboo Shoot Under Your Fingernails If You Use Windows Every Day And Didn't Already Know This Simple Fact

Except ... my Start right-click menu (on XP) doesn't have the same options. Do I need to configure it for things like the command window option?

I haven't tried this, but you can hack your registry to add things to that menu, by following the instructions on this page:

F2 is the universal "Rename" key, in almost all Microsoft products/pieces of Windows. This means Excel cells, filenames, Visual Studio form editor stuff (sometimes), etc...
Hope your head didn't just explode! Best of luck!
'Farmer Jeb' on Tue, 05 Apr 2005 00:59:02 GMT, sez: Yeah that right-click Start button thing is vital when you use a machine that's been set up by the sort of sick f*ck that doesn't have Windows Explorer on their desktop or quicklaunch toolbar. These are the same people that don't want to know the extensions on the end of their filenames and think that clicking on the Edit menu is a really snazzy way of using the clipboard. They also include the original attachment when they reply to emails with attachments. I hate these b*stards!
'sg' on Tue, 05 Apr 2005 01:24:28 GMT, sez: yep Jeb. Watching these people work is like watching hair grow.
