Bambrick versus Hanselman: Bring it!

So it turns out our old friend and nemesis Scott Hanselman is going to be talking at Tech Ed Australia (and New Zealand too). He's got something like 57 slots.

Other lecturers are terrified that their talk will coincide with Scott. For my part, I say BRING IT ON, HANSEL-GIRL!

If one of your presentations is simultaneous with mine... that's great. Let's make it a little challenge, hey 'Snot Hanselman'.

Who can draw the biggest bestest most evangelical crowd? Wiener-face Hanselgirl with his pansy rah-rah-'mvc-is-oh-so-great' shill tactics, or straight shooting, school of hard knocks Bambrick, with his tough lessons and hard won truths?

I giggle at your puny intellect, Hanselfool. I will crush you with my superior powerpoint skillzies. You are going to rue the day you set foot on my continent, H-Dog.

And if it turns out that you are not competing with my lecture, then I trust you will be man enough to attend, and to witness how things are done, Down Under Style? Or are you too much of the big girl's blouse? I think so. Of course you are.

(footnote for the humour impaired.... i'm a big fan of Scott Hanselman, a hanselfan infact, and i owe him a big thanks, because the fact he interviewed me on his podcast is the direct reason i've ended up speaking at tech ed -- plus he's given me various pieces of encouragement in this topic over the last few years. Can't wait to meet the guy in person. (Will he sign my boobs? Let's hope so) All up, he's truly the bestest guy in the whole world)

Which is not to say that I won't trash talk him in public every chance I get.

Hahahahaha, oh my. This could get interesting. Sick 'em LB :)

'lb' on Fri, 29 Aug 2008 11:37:06 GMT, sez:

@DanF
so are you gonna be at sydney tech-ed? would be great to catch up! I've known you for years now!

'Matt Casto' on Fri, 29 Aug 2008 11:40:35 GMT, sez:

Excellent.

'lb' on Fri, 29 Aug 2008 11:42:45 GMT, sez:

@matt
"excellent" as in 'finally someones gonna smackdown hanselman like he deserves' or
"excellent" as in 'finally bambricks gonna learn a valuable lesson?'

'Mike' on Fri, 29 Aug 2008 12:35:42 GMT, sez:

hahahahaahaaaaaaa

'John' on Fri, 29 Aug 2008 12:49:05 GMT, sez:

There is just not enough trash talk in the tech blogs as there could be. We need a bit more, maybe a lot more.

Hmm, I have to be careful for what I ask for...

'Matt Casto' on Fri, 29 Aug 2008 14:46:33 GMT, sez:

@lb either way works for me ;-)

'Jon Schneider' on Fri, 29 Aug 2008 14:47:14 GMT, sez:

Leon, you were on Hanselminutes? How did I miss that? I'm off to download that episode now!

''Scott Hanselman'' on Fri, 29 Aug 2008 14:51:34 GMT, sez:

Oh, if it isn't Peon Bambrick and his crappy picture making software. "Hey, I made a macro to do a print screen. Come see my website!"

I will be there with bells on Bambrick -- be careful what you wish for.

PS - This is a joke. I'm not scott hanselman. Actually both Scott and Leon are awesome and I'm in love with both of them :)

'Anthony Bouch' on Fri, 29 Aug 2008 23:36:12 GMT, sez:

2:1 Hanselegirl... will finish ahead by a length. :-)

'Hanselfan' on Sat, 30 Aug 2008 03:30:36 GMT, sez:

"Hanselgirl" cracked me up!

'Dan F' on Sat, 30 Aug 2008 10:16:18 GMT, sez:

@lb
Unfortunately, not gunna be at tech ed. It's a pity, there's going to be some good stuff happening up there this year.

'Paul Kohler' on Sun, 31 Aug 2008 23:47:26 GMT, sez:

So what happens when the room allocations say "Hanselman, Lecutre Theatre 4"... "Bambrick, Storage Facility 405b"?

Good luck LB - just offer free PC's or something... PK ;-)

'Robert Pickering' on Mon, 01 Sep 2008 05:28:47 GMT, sez:

What if you both stripped to the waste and fought like real men? Now that would be worth seeing...

Cheers,
Rob

p.s. Good luck with the talk!
