Sql Down Under Code Camp
If you are going to be in Australia in October (2006), between Saturday the 7th and Sunday the 8th, you ought to attend the Sql Down Under Code Camp. The main organiser Greg Low is simply a legend. We (at advantech) ask Greg for help whenever we hit a problem that is well over our heads. One of the guest speakers, Itzik Ben Gan, is a right genius. We use tricks he showed us (in a previous talk) for a lot of our more advanced sql solutions. We use those tricks every day. Other speakers like Geoff Orr and Adam Cogan are well known experts. The camp is in Wagga Wagga, which is centrally located (read: 'the middle of nowhere') and it is free!

Sorry we're not going to be going, and since the topic is SQL, i don't see how F# would fit. And i'm definitely not qualified to talk about F# or anything.
;-)

And as for Adam Cogan being a good speaker... well his website is broken (Server Application Unavailable) i hope that is not a sign of anything. Ha ha ha.

'Locutus' on Wed, 30 Aug 2006 04:59:50 GMT, sez: Free huh?
As in me being able get my travel expences back from YOU? ;)
'lb' on Wed, 30 Aug 2006 05:02:11 GMT, sez: @locutus: you *do* have to pay your own travel expenses. And you have to breathe for yourself too. Tough ain't it?
'Locutus' on Wed, 30 Aug 2006 09:04:31 GMT, sez: I *KNEW* there was a catch, I knew it!
Oh well, life's a bitch and all that
