It's raining B&B's

hailstone from brisbane, accompanied by beverage

Huge monsoonal storms in Brisbane at the moment (it's summer in this hemisphere remember?) and on Friday we had a fearsome hailstorm.

Here's a photo of a B&B (Benedictine and Brandy) made by my brother (Farmer JEB) using one of the bigger-than-a-golfball-sized-hailstones that Allison (JEB's wife) bravely retrieved from the back yard...

If you drank five of these, then got in your car and had an accident, could you claim for hail damage?

I don't know what's funnier... the B&B cooled with a hailstone (Great idea - will have to use that) ... or ... "The Girls at 53A" --> awesome site, great to see the egg laying stats!

apparently jeb's been giving away his eggs faster than he can weigh them lately -- so the stats haven't been updated.

he's full of good ideas that one.

Thanks Boxy. I was all geared up to start logging the stats again for the start of the new year when I went and gave away most of my eggs to my neighbours. Had a B n' B last night with regular ice. Wasn't the same. Oh, the credit breakdown goes like this (chronoligical order):
1. idea and execution (i & e) of hailstone retrieval: my wife
2. i & e of hailstone storage in freezer: me
3. idea of having a B n' B: wife
4. i & e of putting putting hailstones in: me
5. i & e of photographing result: wife
6. i & e of telling SG about it: me
